Rite of Passage programs foster environments where staff can learn valuable skills through opportunities for advancement and professional development. We have implemented human resource initiatives (which include competitive salaries, benefits packages and shift schedules) that have led to higher staff satisfaction.
We pay more. In order to recruit and retain the most talented staff, we know that our salary schedule and shifts need to be competitive. According to an independent human resources consulting firm, Rite of Passage pays above average (7%-23%) for the entry level and mid-tier direct care positions.
Shifts that are different. Rite of Passage employs Direct Care Staff with active lifestyles, and wants support those pursuits. Rite of Passage has structured the direct care working schedule to allow for more consecutive days off. We have found that this schedule allows for staff to be present and engaged with the youth on shift, and provides more time to pursue other interests off-shift.
